TO THE FILAF FESTIVAL

After a difficult year, the FILAF festival is organizing a competition and a grant for students to enjoy the festival week in Perpignan.
This message is for students, especially lovers of art in all its forms. Whatever your course or level of study, from the first grade to doctorate, from universities, schools, preparatory classes... you are welcome. If you like music, cinema, fine arts, primitive arts, architecture, modern art, contemporary art, this scholarship is for you! Entire days will be filled with meetings with artists, presentations of books, screenings of unseen films, visits to exhibitions, and more than enriching discussions. Imagine yourself in the colorful streets of Perpignan in the middle of June. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, the birds are singing and the artists are talking. The FILAF festival takes care of everything for you. You will be welcomed in the best possible conditions. You will have the chance to share exceptional moments with recognized artists from the contemporary scene. Authors, screenwriters, painters, visual artists, directors… All will be there. And you, will you?

The art film chocolat grant is a payment of 3000€ has been created in order to help directly a producer or artist to realize a documentary film about an artist, one or several of his work of arts, films, literary or cinematographic works, or on every subject related to what is called art.

FILAF, the International Art Book and Film Festival, celebrates and rewards the best books and films about art produced in the world during the year. The festival takes place each year during the last week of June in the historic center of Perpignan. For seven days, an international selection of books and films is freely available to the general public, through screenings, presentations of books, and meetings with authors, filmmakers, and artists. Two international juries, a large program out of competition, retrospectives, and tributes define the FILAF festival since 2011.
